MILITARY COVENANT – DEBATE IN PARLIAMENT – TUES 14th JUNE 2011

Military Covenant Debate
You may be aware that there is to be a debate in parliament on the ‘Covenant’ today.

The recent medal review has demonstrated the recent government rhetoric has not materialised in action when it counted.

Remember this is what the covenant says:

Covenant Guidance
The Armed Forces Community is entitled to appropriate recognition for the unique service which
it has given to the nation, and the unlimited liability which the Service person assumes.

And here is what the MoD say: http://nationaldefencemedal.webs.com/medalreview.htm

Perhaps it is worth considering contacting your elected representative to ask why veterans have been once again brushed aside and their input ignored or not even sought in the first place.
