Combat Stress invites you, your friends and family to take part in Wales on Wales, a major fundraising initiative to support Britain’s Veterans and serving personnel. This epic walk which covers the full length of the stunning 870-mile Wales Coast Path has been divided into 61 manageable days so that it’s accessible to all ages, abilities and mobility. You can participate on any day you choose and be part of something truly memorable, fun and inclusive.

This historic walk will commemorate the 50 Welsh Guardsmen killed in action since the end of the Second World War – a specially commissioned silver baton listing all their names will be carried the distance and laid to rest at the end of the journey inside Llandaff Cathedral.

The details…

  • We need a total of 4,000 walkers each raising £250 to reach the magic million.
  • WOW starts at Cardiff Bay on 25 Aug and continues until the baton is returned to Cardiff on 2 Nov.
  • In total, there are 61 walking days during the 10 week event.
  • Simply choose a day that suits you and register online – you may even want to walk an entire six day stage or indeed the whole 870 miles! The average distance for one day’s walk is between 12 and 18 miles.
  • It’s simple to register – start by filling out the online form at: and a welcome pack will be sent to you.
  • You can find a day that suits you for location, length, ability and mobility by looking at the attached documents or by visiting for more detailed information and maps.
  • If you are unable to take part but still want to support the event, you can donate at:
